TRANSCENT PAVILION

"When nothing else subsists from the past, after the people are dead, after the things are broken and scattered the smell and taste of things remain poised a long time, like souls bearing resiliently,on tiny and almost impalpable drops of their essence, the immense edifice of memory"
-Marcel Proust "The Remembrance of Things Past"

TRANSCENT PAVILLION explores the phenomenon of memory recall in response
to a specific smell, called "Proust effect", caused by experience in the space filled
with perfume scent and art pieces. People observe visual art in the space and smell
perfume ,which soaked into interior sponge.
TRANSCENT PAVILLION sows chances in observers as a trigger to remind of the
art pieces when they catch the same perfume as pavilion's in a dairy life. Even
far from the pavilion and 8 months later of the exhibition,It is possible for them to
return to the pavilion conceptually in an instant over time and space by a scent
vehicle connected to art peices.
